Best Small Man Cave Ideas

Craft Area-Plan for multiuse corners to maximize functionality in a little basement.

This laundry area doubles as a storage room, craft area and wrap centre. Cabinetry constructed along the walls opposite the appliances retains lightbulbs, batteries, additional garbage bags and other household supplies. A pegboard equipped with dangling containers and tiny rods keeps craft and wrapping materials organized while an adjoining corkboard displays inspirational photos for artwork and reno jobs. Open shelves have been placed high on the walls to add storage space without creating the little room feel closed ; baskets and bins are used here in order to store small items corralled.

Dark TV Area-Accessorize with cheap vintage finds.

It seems counter-intuitive to paint your cellar walls and ceiling in such a darkened color, however, stylist Arren Williams maintained the space bright with mood light. The undermount light in the high-gloss storage components highlights our ranges, says Williams. This modern design has a masculine sense without crying out bachelor pad.

Toilet Vanity Makeover-Give a big-box store find a luxury appearance with a coat of paint.

Interior's director Meg Crossley transformed her dingy basement toilet with a cheap washstand that she found in Canadian Tire. She painted it the same powdery light blue shade as the panel molding, which was installed to brighten up the little space by covering up the original dark tile. A painted faade for the side of the ugly old tub, in the exact same color of blue, spared Meg the price of installing a new tub. A black framed mirror, flanked with easy black alloy and milk glass sconces, adds comparison to each of the blue.

Work with existing plumbing.

Putting this bath beside the pipes shaft made room for a freestanding sink at the little bathroom. New plumbing was inserted in the laundry room, along with the HVAC ducts were raised into the ceiling joists to permit for as much headroom as possible.

Vibrant Basement-Choose non-toxic furniture to earn ceilings appear higher.

A faux-brick wall, fireplace mantel, slipcovered sofa and vintage finds unite in this rustic space. Meg cleverly concealed wiring and ductwork into a long, 40-square-foot closet behind the doors flanking the new fireplace.
